Edible Indoor Pineapple Plant
Ananas comosus

“Let me introduce you to February’s plant of the month…
I’m really excited about this because the edible pineapple – which is your plant this time – is an incredible plant!
Revered back in Victorian times, as an absolute sign of opulence because they were so expensive to grow… And, of course, eating pineapples was an absolute exception. So when you see those those carvings of pineapples, that was a real sign of wealth…
But you can now have one of these in your home. And best of all, they will arrive fully grown like this, just as you see – so what you see, is what you get!
The fruit on the top, that is edible!
So in around about two or three months time, you can chop that off just underneath the base of the actual fruit, then you can eat it. And what that will do is make the plant grow more sets and little growths around the site, so you’ll get more fruit in future years…
Keep it in a sunny windowsill. It’s going to look amazing… It’s going to be a real talking point… It’ll be the envy of your gardening friends!
And best of all, it’s going to look great for years and years and years. So let me introduce you the Edible Pineapple, your February plant of the month…”
